Jose Alfaro (JP)

Jose has felt a lifelong calling to participate in spiritual work, and the medicines found him more than five years ago. Two years ago, he was called to serve others through this Floresta Medicine path. Under the guidance of Madrinha Su, one of his teachers and through his connection with the Huni Kuin of Humaita River, Jose has deepened his understanding of the medicines, their traditions, and the practice of dieting with them. Jose’s primary intention in medicine work is to guide others in recognizing the beauty and love present in this life, helping them embrace the expansiveness of every day. Through this awareness, we become more capable of living, breathing, and loving life as a whole, as one with existence. With over a year of dedicated service to the medicines, Jose has received Madrinha Su’s blessing to open his own works, further solidifying his commitment to this sacred path.
